Answers your team would be happy to sign

Creeklog crawls your site, indexes it, and answers from that index — in a widget, a search page or over the API. Every answer names the pages it came from. When retrieval is not confident enough, it hands over instead of inventing something.

What is your CEO’s home address?

I could not find that on this site. Let me put you in touch with the team instead.

No source above the threshold means no answer. The threshold, the fallback wording and who it hands over to are all yours to set.

Why it can be trusted

Three things have to be true before an answer is worth shipping

A model that sounds right is easy. One that can be checked, constrained and graded is the part that takes work.

Grounded

Answers are assembled only from your crawled pages, uploaded documents and knowledge you taught it. Retrieval scores every candidate chunk, boosts titles and recency, and the answer names what it used.

  • Inline links back to the source page
  • Chunks carry their publish date, so answers are dated
  • PDFs, tables and FAQs indexed alongside pages

Guarded

Forty-three guardrail rules run on every answer, four of them locked. A competitor query is refused before it reaches the model. Brand-negative framing is caught on the way out.

  • Per-page rules to exclude or boost anything
  • Pinned answers for questions you must control word for word
  • Custom fallback wording when it declines

Measured

Upload your own prompt sheet as a spreadsheet and grade the whole set. Each run is stored, so you can diff this week against last and see exactly which prompts moved.

  • Failed rows route straight into teach-or-relax fixes
  • Prose rubrics graded by an advisory judge, never pass/fail
  • Runs are credit-metered so cost stays visible

What you get

The parts that matter after week one

Demos are won on the first answer. Deployments are kept on what happens when the site changes, the wrong answer ships, or someone asks about a competitor.

Crawling that respects your CMS

Playwright renders the page before it is read, so client-rendered content indexes like anything else. Re-crawls compare last-modified, ETags and content hashes, so only what changed is re-embedded — and pages you deleted are removed from the index.

  • Ping /v1/pages/refresh from your CMS to re-index on publish
  • Sitemap and link discovery, with per-path rules
  • Crawl schedule you can set per website

Knowledge you can hand it directly

Not everything worth answering is on the website. Type it in, upload the document, or pin the exact wording. Taught knowledge is scored above crawled content and survives a re-crawl.

  • Archive and restore entries without losing history
  • Synonyms so your internal terms resolve to plain language
  • An answer-quality inbox for questions that went badly

Three ways to ship it

One script tag before the closing body tag gives you the floating widget. The same index also backs a full-page search experience, or your own front end over the public API.

  • Per-website API tokens with domain whitelists
  • Widget branded to your colours, logo, font and position
  • Answer cache with per-site duration and similarity

Analytics your team will actually open

Every question, the confidence it was answered at, whether the visitor was satisfied, where it happened and when. Split by surface, exported as CSV, or sent out as a branded PDF report.

  • Funnel from question to click-through
  • Timezone heatmap of when people ask
  • Thumbs-up and thumbs-down collected across surfaces

Under your control

Your model key, your data, your wording

Bring your own key

OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure or Groq. Answers and embeddings both run on it, and the usage lands on your bill.

Your own database

One database and one vector collection per client. Nothing is pooled and nothing is shared.

Your own people

Invite your team, set roles, add co-owners. Permissions are re-read on every request.

Your own words

Tone, language, greeting, fallback wording and pinned answers — set per website, not per account.

Point it at your site and see what it answers

Free to try, no card. If the first crawl does not convince you, nothing else we say will.
